The Stations of the Cross help us to meditate on what it means to walk in Christ’s footsteps by tracing the events of Good Friday, the day of Jesus’ crucifixion and death. We have set up twelve stations in St. James’ churchyard for people to use for personal prayer and meditation during Holy Week on your once daily outdoor exercise. The symbol on each station which looks like a ‘P’ and an ‘X’ is an ancient symbol for Christ, called the Chi Rho. Please observe the required 2 metre distance from others while using the stations, and if you see more than five people in the churchyard on your arrival, please come back to pray at another time. The PDF below includes short prayers and Bible verses to use at each station. We hope you all have a very blessed Holy Week.
