Rev’d Tim’s Sponsored Cycle 13th June

On the afternoon of Sunday 13th June, our very own Rev’d Tim Laundon will cycle an ambitious circular route to raise money for our Stained Glass Window Project, which is being created by artist Sophie Hacker.

Tim will set off from St James, and take in four other pieces of stunning art produced by Sophie : first, a cross in the chapel of Winchester Hospital, then the Baptism Window at St John The Baptist Church, North Baddesely, the Calling Window at Romsey Abbey, and finally the cross at Sarum College, Salisbury, before making his way back to us at St James Church, Ludgershall, via Holy Trinity, Tidworth. It is a 70mile route.

Ways you can help:
1) Please sponsor Tim either online at this link: https://pay.collctiv.com/tims-sponsored-bike-ride-1971, or by popping your sponsorship, clearly labelled, through the letter box of the Rectory at 10 St James Street. All money raised goes directly to pay for our new beautiful stained glass window.

2) Join us to welcome Tim back to the churchyard for coffee and cake on the afternoon of Sunday 13th June, to celebrate his accomplished ride! More details on this to follow.

3) Tim will stop in at the Wellington Academy lay by on his way back, so some of us, including any younger riders can ride the last victorious 1km, which is on a cycle lane, not on the road. Those wanting to do that can meet there late afternoon – look on our Facebook page for timing details closer to the day.

We are tremendously excited by the progress of the stained glass window. Please support the project and Tim in this cycling-offering to raise awareness and funds to complete the installation! Thank you!
