St James’ Fun Day
You are warmly invited to come along and join us in whiling away a summer afternoon on Saturday 28th July, 12 noon till 4:30ish with a bbq, ice cream or perhaps a glass of Pimms. We will be in the Rectory Garden, so bring a picnic blanket or garden chairs and bag a good spot for listening to live music from the Decibelles & Whistles, or a spot of Donkey Derby antics, or even a garden game or two. We hope you can come!
Flower Festival
Next weekend is our Flower Festival! Open throughout the day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, please drop in to see lots of wonderful floral creations! We will also have an evening of music and poems including a performance from The Blue Horizon Handbell Ringers with wine and nibbles on Friday at 7pm, and a Songs Of Praise service at 6pm on Sunday, not to mention Revd Jimmy Holden will preside at his first communion surrounded by flowers at our usual 10am Sunday morning service. Happiness is…seeing you there!
What’s The Story? At Easter
This Easter has seen our What’s The Story? holiday sessions for 0-5 year olds, parents and carers and older siblings having a lot of fun and cramming a lot in! We have searched at the empty tomb for Jesus, run with John and Peter, planted mini Easter gardens to take home, looked at the folded grave clothes and asked the angel where Jesus is now. We have travelled to Emmaus, hopping and jumping along the way, we have met Jesus and heard his wonderful stories, we have made and broken bread and realized that Jesus is Alive! And we have celebrated throughout. We look forward to the next school holidays when the next session will pop up. Thank you to those who came for all that fun! Happy Easter!
