🥐🫖☕️ Cafe Bienvenue, the Ladies Breakfast, opens in the church hall this Saturday 3rd September at 8:45am for good chat over a continental breakfast. We will also have a guest speaker with us to tell us all about the adventures of a street pastor out and about in Southampton – pretty exciting. Looking forward to seeing all you ladies there! Bishop Wilson’s Visit
We were delighted to host Bishop Wilson and his wife, Mama Agnes, who came to us for some rest and relaxation a week after the other Sudanese Bishops, due to other commitments to visit Northern Ireland. But the need for rest did not stop our guests from being out and about locally during their week with us, speaking on the radio at Castledown FM, enjoying a bbq with parishioners and seeing the sights at Stonehenge and Avebury, as well as joining our worship and prayers at St James. Another blessing to us, and we hope they have returned home to Sudan refreshed by time spent in rural Wiltshire!
Bishop Zechariah’s visit
Over the last week, Rev’d Tim and Dawn have hosted Bishop +Zechariah and his wife Mama Christine from Sudan. We were thrilled to have them here with us for some rest and relaxation after the Lambeth Conference, and wish them every blessing now they have headed back to South Sudan. We continue to pray for them, their churches and for peace for Sudan.

We pray for Rev’d. Pat Aldred, Assistant Curate of Ludgershall and Tidworth. May he be faithful to his priestly vocation as he moves on to be Associate Minister at Holy Cross and St Peters’ Shrewsbury. Amen.

- Cafe Bienvenue, our womens’ breakfast, is open at 8:45am in the church hall for a continental breakfast and good company. Lovely! 🥐🫖🥐🫖
- At the Rectory of our sister church Holy Trinity Church Tidworth, they are holding a fete at 12 noon, with a beer tent, live music and games – see the poster below for details. 🎶🍺🎤🎉
August Friday Coffee Mornings
☕️🥓🧁Each Friday in August, St James’ volunteers will be running the Community Coffee Morning at the church hall, while the regular team have a well earned summer break. We will be open at the usual times, starting at 9:30am. Do drop in – there are rumours of bacon sandwiches! 😊
End of the month Church Walk Saturday 30th July
🥾🥾🥾Our monthly church walk sets off from the church gate this Saturday at 10am. Please wear sturdy footwear and bring a water bottle. All welcome, including four footed friends! 🥾🥾🥾
St James’ Day 24th July
Sunday 24th July is St James’ Day, and following our morning service at 10am, we will be celebrating with a BBQ, music, games and fun in the churchyard. All welcome to join us! Get it in your diary! 😎
Bishop Andrew with us Sunday 26th June
This Sunday, in addition to having all age worship, we will have Bishop Andrew with us, to bless the digitization of our church records project which Errol has worked on. We look forward to worshipping together at 10am. All welcome!
