Sunday 10am
(Thursday 10.30am is a shorter service with no music)
This service is in modern language, and includes hymns, and a sermon (or occasionally a different activity). We share bread and wine, to commemorate the Last Supper that Jesus shared with his disciples before, and if you normally receive Communion in your own church you are welcome to do so here. If you do not normally receive bread and wine you are welcome to come up for a blessing at the appropriate time.
We always have alcohol free wine and gluten free wafers available, and if you could let the person who greets you know that you need either or both, we will ensure there is plenty.
Although the service is structured and formal, we have a lively community of toddlers who remind us that church is for everyone, and we are well aware that not everyone can stand, sit or kneel for the times that might be “expected”. We would rather you are comfortable than you conform.
At major festivals, we are normally joined for the whole service by our Shell Seekers, and we try to make sure that the service is appropriate for everyone.
