Over the last week, Rev’d Tim and Dawn have hosted Bishop +Zechariah and his wife Mama Christine from Sudan. We were thrilled to have them here with us for some rest and relaxation after the Lambeth Conference, and wish them every blessing now they have headed back to South Sudan. We continue to pray for them, their churches and for peace for Sudan.

Sunday 24th July is St James’ Day, and following our morning service at 10am, we will be celebrating with a BBQ, music, games and fun in the churchyard. All welcome to join us! Get it in your diary! 😎

Reminder! This Sunday, 12th June, Trinity Sunday, there will not be any service at St James, because we are joining our sister church at Holy Trinity Church Tidworth at 11am to worship together! We will celebrate their patronal festival, which is like the church’s birthday, and after the service they will be serving up a bbq lunch! We are really looking forward to it. All welcome to join us over at Holy Trinity!
☕️🥓The Men’s Breakfast is back, in the church hall this Saturday 11th June at 8:45am! Join us for good company and a good breakfast. 🥓☕️
What’s The Story returns this coming Tuesday 31st May, starting at 9.30am in the church, for toddlers, preschoolers and primary school aged children, with their parents/carers. The session is free, and consists of interactive Bible Storytelling, activities, games and craft, and we provide a snack and a drink. Looking forward to another story!
Rather excitingly, our regular Women’s Breakfast will be happening over the weekend of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, so it will be extra festive and fun! Come along for breakfast on Saturday 4th June, for all the usual chat with a bit of extra 1950’s vibe thrown in! Looking forward to it!
Exciting times ahead! On Sunday 1st May we will be holding our Annual Parochial Church Meeting, which is a time to report back to our church family about what we have done in the last year, and to elect our church wardens and PCC members for the year ahead. In preparation, we have collated a set of reports from various areas of church life for you to read ahead of the meeting. Please click the link to read the reports as a pdf.
The APCM will bookend the Sunday Service, with the election of churchwardens directly before worship commences and then the remainder of the meeting will happen following coffee in the Hall after our service. It is wonderful when we have as many members of our church community together for this meeting, so please come if you can.
