🧤🥾Calling volunteers! Our next churchyard working party is this Saturday, 19th June, at 10am. Maximum 2 hours working limit. Please bring your gardening gloves and sturdy footwear, and be ready to muck in to keep our churchyard in beautiful condition. Thank you! 🥾🧤
We are in the final week before Rev’d Tim sets off on his sponsored bike ride of 70miles in aid of our stained glass window project! Please sponsor Tim, either online here: https://pay.collctiv.com/tims-sponsored-bike-ride-1971 or by putting your sponsorship through the door of the Rectory at 10 St James Street.
You might also like to join us in the late afternoon of Sunday 13th June when we will welcome Tim in the churchyard at the completion of his ride for coffee and cake. Exact timing will be advertised on this page on the day, but we think it will be between 4pm and 5pm. Or ride the final stretch from the layby at Wellington Academy to the churchyard to support him. Again exact timing on the day.
All in aid of a once in a generation installation of stained glass to celebrate our place of Ludgershall and God’s goodness to us. Amazing!
Hello everyone. 👀 Look at these latest pictures of our stained glass window, being leaded, before installation! Don’t forget Rev’d Tim’s sponsored bike ride raising money for the window project – please give generously! 🚴🏼🚴🏼🚴🏼More info about the bike ride at the link below, or donate directly for the window here: https://pay.collctiv.com/window-fund-18042

Please bring a picnic blanket so you can create a base for your household! We will provide a drink and snack during the session. Happy Halfterm!
Our monthly Church Walks are back! We will leave from the Church gate at 10am on Saturday 29th May. All are welcome to join us – please wear sturdy footwear.

On the afternoon of Sunday 13th June, our very own Rev’d Tim Laundon will cycle an ambitious circular route to raise money for our Stained Glass Window Project, which is being created by artist Sophie Hacker.
Tim will set off from St James, and take in four other pieces of stunning art produced by Sophie : first, a cross in the chapel of Winchester Hospital, then the Baptism Window at St John The Baptist Church, North Baddesely, the Calling Window at Romsey Abbey, and finally the cross at Sarum College, Salisbury, before making his way back to us at St James Church, Ludgershall, via Holy Trinity, Tidworth. It is a 70mile route.
Ways you can help:
1) Please sponsor Tim either online at this link: https://pay.collctiv.com/tims-sponsored-bike-ride-1971, or by popping your sponsorship, clearly labelled, through the letter box of the Rectory at 10 St James Street. All money raised goes directly to pay for our new beautiful stained glass window.
2) Join us to welcome Tim back to the churchyard for coffee and cake on the afternoon of Sunday 13th June, to celebrate his accomplished ride! More details on this to follow.
3) Tim will stop in at the Wellington Academy lay by on his way back, so some of us, including any younger riders can ride the last victorious 1km, which is on a cycle lane, not on the road. Those wanting to do that can meet there late afternoon – look on our Facebook page for timing details closer to the day.
We are tremendously excited by the progress of the stained glass window. Please support the project and Tim in this cycling-offering to raise awareness and funds to complete the installation! Thank you!
🥾🥾🥾Making weekend plans? We are going for a walk this Rogation Sunday, 9th May, leaving the church gate on Sunday morning at 11:30am, to walk through our local woods and farmland, and take in the bluebells. Join us if you can, and don’t forget to wear sturdy footwear! 🥾🥾🥾
Great news! The refurbishment of our clock face has been finished in the workshop, so the team of Smiths of Derby will be reinstating it next week! We hope it will be back in place on 12th May! We are now really looking forward to seeing it back in fabulous condition!
Join us on Saturday at 10am for our churchyard working party. All you need is a pair of gardening gloves and come ready to pitch in! Thanks, everyone.
