Sunday Morning Service 7th June 2020
This Sunday is Trinity Sunday so we will be celebrating the 729th birthday of our sister church, Holy Trinity, Tidworth, as well as mulling over the mystery of the Trinity! Join us on Sunday morning service at 10am, live on our Facebook page or listen to the simultaneous broadcast by our friends at Castledown FM 104.7. We are excited about joining together in worship then.
You can find a service sheet at this link so you can follow along with the singing at home: https://stjamesludgershall.com/service-sheets/ As usual, we can receive your prayer requests on Sunday morning by text on 01980 221047, so feel free to get in touch.
A prayerful walk for Pentecost
Hello everyone. Wondering what to do over the weekend, or perhaps one day this week? Here is a circular prayerful walking route which leads up to a viewpoint that looks across the parish of Ludgershall and Faberstown and glimpses St James Church tower. This walk can either be walked as a whole or in parts. Start and finish where you like. When you reach the viewpoint, please consider saying a prayer asking God to bless our community.
Please remember that some areas are stony and a bit rough underfoot so please wear stout shoes or walking boots and perhaps consider taking a walking stick. The ground is very dry and dusty in parts. The walk along Bulls Drove is a track and when you fork left it is quite steep but the view as you come down the other side leading to Crawlboys Lane is worth it! Our viewing point is as you come down, and we’ve included a picture so you can see what you are aiming for!
Easter Sunday Morning Service
Please join us for a service of Easter joy this Easter Sunday morning at 10am, broadcast live on Castledown FM 104.7 and on our Facebook page. If you can, please have with you a hollow chocolate egg you are willing to smash! Rev’d Tim says he will reveal all at the service…
As usual, you can send in prayer requests, thoughts and contributions to us on Sunday morning on 01980 221047, and our service sheet will be available at this link: https://stjamesludgershall.com/service-sheets/.
We look forward to being with you then, and in the meantime we wish you a very peace-filled Holy Week.
Married at St James?
Did you have your wedding at St James Ludgershall?
As part of an ongoing project to digitize our records, the dates of all the weddings in St James are being recorded. Sue Williams, thought that, as a further enhancement, we would try and add wedding photographs – making it a very important part of social history.
If you, or any of your relatives, were married at St James, and have photos together with names and dates, would you agree to her making a copy to link with the records? She would take great care of your photo and return it to you immediately. Alternatively, if you could email a photo – that would be good too.
Do get in touch! Contact Sue Williams on 01264 791487 or email suewilliams588@gmail.com. Thank you!
