Our regular churchyard working party morning is coming up – see below for details. As always the more, the merrier. Thanks, everyone!

🧤🧤🧤Churchyard Working Party 🧤🧤🧤
This Saturday 13th November, at 10am, with a maximum working time of two hours, we will be tackling the North hedge. All welcome to join in as many hands make light work. Please wear gardening gloves and bring rakes, wheelbarrows, or hedge trimmers if you have them available. Thank you!
🧤🧤🧤Calling all volunteers for our regular Churchyard Working Party, this Saturday, 14th August, at 10am. Maximum of 2 hours working on the upkeep of our churchyard, so we will be all done by noon! Please wear gardening gloves, and bring any tools etc that you think might be useful: loppers, secateurs, wheelbarrows! More the merrier, thank to all in advance! 🧤🧤🧤
Lots of thank yous! Thank you to our local Cubs and Scouts for making these beautiful bird boxes and thank you to all our volunteers who helped with our churchyard Spring Cleanup last Saturday! Your work is so appreciated!
We only managed to take a couple of photos of the volunteers who have helped out with the coronavirus vaccinations locally over the last two Fridays (because we were just too busy!) but thank you to all of the church and community volunteers and also to the staff of the Castle Practice in Tidworth and Ludgershall (and I think the GP Practice in Amesbury was working with us too).
It’s brilliant that so many local people have been vaccinated already and I know all the volunteers were delighted to be able to help in our own small way by managing the traffic and the parking. Thank you also to the Tidworth Leisure Centre for hosting and for those staff who helped out too.
I also discovered this morning that some cathedrals have been drafted in to help with this national vaccination program. So thank you @salisburycathedral @dioceseofsalisbury and @lichfieldcathedral @lichfielddiocese as well! I don’t know if this is happening right across the country, but it’s great that our diocese is doing it and it’s so good that we’re not the only ones.
As the vision statement for the C of E says we’re trying to be “a Christian presence in every community” and it’s really good to see that we’re not the only ones who believe that helping with the COVID vaccinations, with church volunteers working alongside community volunteers, is part of the Church’s mission!
